Kevin Szafraniec breaks down 2026’s impending free agent wide receiver class in addition to discussing a handful of other wideouts who could become available this offseason.
Over the past decade, wide receiver has become the most coveted offensive position outside of quarterback. Eleven wideouts are currently signed to contracts that pay them a higher average annual salary than the NFL’s top-paid offensive tackle. Given the supply and demand at the position, top-tier WRs usually do not make it to the open market. But when a star receiver does hit free agency, teams are willing to bend over backwards to bring them aboard. We may not see any superstars hit the open market in the typical sense this offseason, but that does not mean there won’t be some big names in new places at the start of the 2026 season.
