2018 Bowl Prospect Series: Patrick Laird

The California Golden Bears take on the TCU Horned Frogs in the Cheez-It Bowl, setting up a great evening of football and snacks of any variety. Cal enters the game 7-5, having slogged through a 4-5 slate in the Pac-12. Their strength is on defense, but running back Patrick Laird is the driver on offense. He needs 65 yards to go over 1,000 as a rusher in back-to-back seasons, but he’s already notched his second straight campaign with over 1,200 yards from scrimmage. Laird’s ability in the passing game makes him a sneaky draft prospect for 2019.
