With the NFL draft just a few days away, this means we are on the horizon of best-ball season. Right now, the rookies are the toast of the town, but we need to make sure we dig into these veteran players to see if their cost could present a potential value in drafts. Over the course of the next few weeks and months the discourse will be revolving around draft structure. While structure is obviously very important, we also want to make sure that our player analysis is sound, so we are selecting the right players at the right price.

Allen Robinson is a player whose ADP could be a key leverage point in drafts this offseason. His talent has never been the issue. The issue has been his quarterback situation.

This list of names is so bad, even D.J. Moore and Terry McLaurin probably feel bad for Robinson. However, that is all about to change in 2022. Robinson will be catching passes from Matthew Stafford and playing alongside Cooper Kupp. Robert Woods is in Tennessee and Odell Beckham Jr. is recovering from a torn ACL, so the stage is set for Robinson to be the clear No. 2 option in the offense.

Robinson is currently going in the sixth round of drafts as the WR29 on FFPC. With WR looking much weaker in this pocket of the draft than it usually does, drafters will reach for receivers. We can’t just use the quarterback upgrade as a reason to draft Robinson — other questions need to be answered. Does Robinson still have the talent we have been gushing over for the last eight years? How will Robinson be used in this offense? Most importantly, how does he stack up compared to players being drafted in the same range as him, or even slightly after him?
