There’s plenty of information out there regarding late-round ADP values and mid-round sleepers, like Mat Irby’s three middle-round running backs who could be stars. Players who outperform their ADPs certainly add value to a fantasy roster, but it’s rare to hit on true league-winners in the middle or late rounds of drafts. Instead, seasons can be won or lost by early-round players, so it’s crucial to hit on those Round 1 and 2 picks.

Bjorn Yang-Vaernet recently discussed five fantasy situations in Rounds 1 and 2 that will make or break your draft, and I happen to agree wholeheartedly with one of situations mentioned in that piece. I’ll expand on that situation below along with another. These two mispriced early-round players can be league-winners in 2023, as both are often available at the Round 1-2 turn, but I have them each ranked as top-six overall picks for this season.

Two Mispriced Early-Round Players Who Could be League-Winners in 2023

A.J. Brown

As of this writing, A.J. Brown is being drafted 10th overall as the WR6 based on Underdog ADP. That’s already a hefty price tag on Brown, but he’s arguably still a bargain. I have him ranked as the WR4, and No. 6 player overall.

There seem to be two primary concerns that drafters have with Brown. One is that the Eagles don’t pass enough for Brown to have elite WR upside, and the other is that he’s competing for targets with DeVonta Smith. However,
