The Quote That Shook Fantasy May Have Also Solved Your WR Window Problem

A surprising source of depth comes from the 1996 Sci-Fi Comedy Men in Black when Will Smith’s Agent J is coming to grips with the certainty of life on other planets. He and Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent K sit on a bench in Battery Park as K carries on his rehearsed defense of National Security: “A thousand years ago, everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, they knew the Earth was flat. Fifteen minutes ago, you knew we humans were alone on it.” Then he draws in a deep sigh as if the next part has weighed on him all these years. ”Imagine what you’ll know tomorrow.”

This time of year, it feels like the quote should go like this: “A year ago, everybody knew Trey Lance was going to be a top-five dynasty QB. Six months ago, everybody knew the Titans were going to rebuild. Three weeks ago, you knew Jonathan Taylor was insulated for the next two seasons. Imagine what you’ll know after Preseason Week 1.”

Running with narratives can be as dangerous as running with scissors. Around the league, several items are being bandied about as fact – a training camp tradition – but the truth is that we don’t yet know the truth. Here, we’ll discuss one narrative the fantasy community has accepted as fact.

But what if it isn’t? And what if that creates one of the biggest opportunities in all of fantasy?

Uncertainty in Cleveland: Quinshon Judkins’ Arrest and the Fantasy Fallout

Quinshon Judkins’ off-field issues bring a cloud of uncertainty over the Browns’ backfield. Is there an opportunity for a backup option to have an impact, or is the situation still too murky for fantasy managers to invest? A Sensible Man’s Guide to Buying a Yacht, Part 2: Make a Customer, Not Just a Sale

So, yeah. I was in the office in the 48-foot trailer (movie biz thing, hard to explain) in the middle of a lightning delay while working on a pilot for a Netflix reboot of A Different World. I paused, flicking my flip-up sunglasses upward with the back of my forefinger. No doubt, I had a glazed look in my eye, hair disheveled, reaching for and slamming…...

A Sensible Man’s Guide to Buying a Yacht, Part 1: How Going All-In Can Still Be Done in the Permanent Championship Window

Of all the fantasy formats, dynasty is my favorite. It scratches a deep, childlike itch — the joy of building something all your own, like Legos or friendship bracelets or a glorious, slightly disturbing Potato Head chimera made from the mismatched limbs of various members of the Potato Head family. I’ve always loved accessorizing this impulse to create with the dramatics and ornaments of football…....
