Last week this column focused on the jump in store for the Buccaneers’ and Saints’ offenses due to the reverberations of returning cogs on the offensive line. Left tackle Tristan Wirfs bumped Graham Barton back to center for Baker Mayfield in Tampa. The Saints stabilized protection around Spencer Rattler with promising young right tackle Taliese Fuaga, and at least creeped back in the direction of average with incumbent left guard Trevor Penning now off injury. I’m still stashing Kendre Miller.
Tampa’s offense hit another notch while New Orleans showed some life. Now let’s continue to sift through offensive line developments across the league for more instances of teams bolstering (and losing) offensive line continuity.
Who’s losing and returning fixtures on the starting OL?
Three teams gained continuity and six teams saw disruptions to their offensive front in Week 5.
