Shawn Siegele redrafts and then ranks every rookie class of the last decade, including a deeper dive into the fortunes of 2025 rookies.
Conducted after Week 10 a year ago, this exercise was among my favorites of the 2024 calendar. It’ll consist of two basic parts:
- I’ll re-draft each of the last 10 rookie classes, profiling risers and fallers, and breaking down the differences between this year’s and last year’s selections.
- I’ll rank the 10 classes in comparison to each other in terms of overall dynasty value in the superflex format.
All of these elements are fun and produce some interesting discussion in their own right, but the overall project also helps us get a feel for how rookie classes tend to evolve. It’s an activity that helps us calibrate the value of rookie picks, a key element as dynasty managers enter buy or sell mode ahead of the fantasy playoffs.
