Kevin Szafraniec breaks down the NFL’s best wide receiver performances of 2025 and compares them to the top seasons of the past seven years using the RotoViz Advanced Stats Explorer.
Prior to the start of the 2024 NFL season, I did a deep dive into the WR data from the Advanced Stat Explorer to get a better feel for exactly what levels of production should be considered elite, average, or poor in each of the tool’s metrics. After adding 234 WR seasons from 2025 to the data set, our sample grew from 1,376 player seasons last winter to 1,610 now.
For Part 3 of the series, we will be taking a look at yards after the catch (YAC). Since a player has to actually reel in one of their targets to qualify for YAC, our seven-year sample for this article will consist of 1,551 player seasons. When looking solely at 2025, the sample goes down to 227 from 234. For a quick reference on how to interpret the data in the tables below, the 75th percentile and above generally include the top 60 WR performances from a given season. The 90th percentile and above encompasses most of the top 24 performers.
