Kevin Szafraniec breaks down the NFL’s best wide receiver performances of 2025 and compares them to the top seasons of the past seven years using the RotoViz Advanced Stats Explorer.
Prior to the start of the 2024 NFL season, I did a deep dive into the WR data from the Advanced Stat Explorer to get a better feel for exactly what levels of production should be considered elite, average, or poor in each of the tool’s metrics. After adding 234 WR seasons from 2025 to the data set, our sample grew from 1,376 player seasons last winter to 1,610 now.
For Part 4 of the series, we will examine evasion rates (EVAS%). Since a player has to actually reel in one of their targets to evade a tackle, our 2025 sample for this installment of the series went from 234 down to 227. Meanwhile, our seven-year sample for this article should consist of 1,551 player seasons, but missing data from 2021 through 2023 reduces the total to 1,217 seasons. For a quick reference on how to interpret the data in the tables below, the 75th percentile and above generally include the top 60 WR performances from a given season. The 90th percentile and above encompasses most of the top 24 performers.
