Kansas City is on critical mass alert for injuries on the offensive line.
That light flickered in the Super Bowl against Tampa Bay. It was less so injuries versus Philly last year and more quality of tackle play, which Josh Simmons had shored up earlier this season. However, the star rookie’s season went sideways, and he’s now on IR.
Two KC stalwarts are doubtful for Sunday in RT Jawaan Taylor and RG Trey Smith, the latter whose fill-in graded out as the worst pass-blocking guard in Week 13. And LG Joe Thuney ain’t walking back through that door either (the Bears are quite happy).
Perhaps the greatest test is ahead for Andy Reid, Andy Heck, and Patrick Holmes. It’s Texans week.
