Kevin Szafraniec discusses his seven favorite undrafted free agents from the 2026 rookie class and outlines the paths each could take to become a viable fantasy asset.
Adding undrafted free agents to our fantasy rosters can be a risky proposition even in the best draft classes. By now, we all know that the 2026 draft class is anything but. Still, there are a handful of very talented prospects who slipped through the cracks over the weekend. While the majority of them will never become viable fantasy assets, if we can find one diamond in the rough, it could reframe how we view the entire 2026 rookie draft season.
With this in mind, I’ve pinpointed seven UDFAs who I believe have the best chance to become NFL contributors. To be clear, I will not be looking to add any of these players until the final round of rookie drafts, if at all.
As is the case with most players who go undrafted, talent and opportunity will need to align in order for them to emerge. Therefore, it is important to pay attention for positive signal coming out of rookie minicamps and OTAs. Even then, all of these rookies will need a little bit of luck on their side to transform from an afterthought into a genuine NFL talent.
