Shawn Siegele breaks down the way recent trends in NFL injury results and rookie performance could influence your 2026 decisions in best ball tournaments.
A few years ago, Colm Kelly and I drafted a RotoViz Overtime team with Blair Andrews that finished second in the FFPC Best Ball Tournament. We were edged at the line by good friend and best ball guru Conor O’Driscoll. Our squad that season was driven by the insights from the RotoViz Roster Construction Explorer and Best Ball Win Rate Explorer.
Can we use those tools again today to get back and win? The 2026 FFPC Best Ball Tournament Blueprint is an attempt to find out.
Kevin’s fantastic FFPC best ball series is the appropriate place to start your 2026 best-ball journey. Today’s exercise is a deep-in-the-weeds attempt to understand how several key best ball elements contribute to both win rates and risk avoidance. I’ll be looking at the injury picture over time, both to get a feel for the sustainability of RB trends and to understand the relationship between injuries, pricing, and upside.
As a companion part of the project, I’ll look at the trajectory of rookie scoring, rookie risk, and rookie pricing.
