Flip Flopping on Kevin White and DeVante Parker

In the soon to be published RotoViz Pre-Draft Rookie Mock I took Kevin White with the third overall pick, as the second wide receiver off the board. As you’ll soon see in the RotoViz Rookie Composite WR Rankings however, I have Kevin White ranked third… and Devante Parker ranked second.  So what gives?…...

Two Reasons to Steer Clear of the Dallas Rookie Running Back Hype Train

With the the NFL draft still a few weeks away I thought it might be a good time to take a look what Dallas offers as a landing spot for a rookie running back–while we still have clear heads. If, as many suspect, Dallas spends a high pick on a RB, my suspicion is that the excitement surrounding this runner would quickly push his price well beyond current market value (particularly if the RB selected is Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon). But is this excitement warranted? DeMarco Murray certainly demonstrated that there’s value to be tapped in the Dallas backfield,…...

All the Reasons You Need to Pick Up Tyler Gaffney Right Now

Consider this a Public Service Announcement to add running back Tyler Gaffney in all dynasty leagues. Given Gaffney’s All Pro Comparables it’s no surprise that he was one of James Todd’s Speculative Dynasty Stashes last October; since then everything has broken right for the former Stanford Cardinal. With Shane Vereen now on the Giants and Stevan Ridley currently unemployed, there’s a ton of opportunity up for grabs in the Patriots backfield, and of the remaining RBs on the roster Gaffney has arguably has the highest upside.  Oh, and he’s essentially free right now–though he probably won’t be for long. Consider these two reasons for adding…...

10 WR Targets for Early My Fantasy League MFL10s

Attention degenerates: MFL 10s are back up and running and the RotoViz Similarity Scores Apps are here to help.  Now, on the one hand drafting this early in the offseason is a bit like playing darts blindfolded.1 On the other hand, there’s now meaningful fantasy football drafting to be done in February.  So, yea.  What was the first point again? For those of you beginning your 2015 fantasy football season only a week or two after the Super Bowl, we at RotoViz are here to help.  If you’re following the MFL 10 strategy that was optimal in 2014, and for several years before…...

The 2015 AFC Conference Championship Game Preview

Exactly one week from tomorrow we’ll all be able to turn to our spouse or significant other and say “Honey, what would you like to do today?” with complete sincerity.1 And in the seconds before it dawns on them that there’s no football on… that will be a beautiful moment. But until then, we have one last glorious weekend of back to back NFL football games. In order to give the last gasp of NFL football its due, we at RotoViz are previewing the Conference Championship Games for real life and daily fantasy football purposes. Enjoy. Or at least as much…...

The 2015 NFC Conference Championship Game Preview

It’s that time of year again, when 28 NFL fan bases are checking out the upcoming Rookie and Free Agent classes, or watching basketball, or… I don’t know, is hockey still a thing?… when cloudy with a high of 34° constitutes “nice weather” (for as long as I live on the east coast anyway)… and when, for the last time until next September, we can watch back-to-back competitive NFL football games. In order to give the last gasp of NFL football its due, we at RotoViz are previewing the Conference Championship Games for real life and daily fantasy football purposes.  Enjoy…....

Fantasy Football QB Streaming for Week 16

Congratulations to everyone playing in fantasy championship games this week!  It’s been a hell of a season and hopefully we can get you over the line to bring home a title or two. Mark Sanchez I’m playing in two championship games this week and I plan on starting Sanchez in both.  On the one hand, the prospect of heading into the Sunday 1pm games knowing that my team is DOA and my loved ones will be receiving Best Buy gift cards because I spent the last Saturday before Christmas watching Mark Sanchez murder my fantasy hopes and dreams instead of buying them actual…...

Fantasy Football QB Streaming for Week 14

Welcome to Week 14 where QB streamers face a dilemma usually reserved for Bengals fans–are we seriously starting Andy Dalton in a must win game? Andy Dalton Andy Dalton had a great match-up last week and was a recommended start, but delivered less than 200 yards with three interceptions.  Nevertheless, I think he’s worth another shot this week.  Here’s why–using the newest RotoViz App the Daily Fantasy Finder we can see that Dalton is one of two QBs owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues that is favored, at home, and against a below average pass defense.1  Another point in Dalton’s favor is that…...
