Jeff Green and Your Daily Hoops Cheatcodes* (4-11-13)

green

This is going to be a post for all you daily fantasy basketball junkies. Daily hoops can be extremely exhausting due to the massive day-to-day swings in player usage and match ups so this will serve as a great place to start when constructing your lineup.

These lineups are specific to DraftStreet, Draft Day, and FanDuel, thus it’s important to note that the scoring and position requirements at these sites are slightly different. One player might offer more value at one site, but not another.

I’ve used our extremely useful apps (for DraftStreet go here, Draft Day here, and FanDuel here) as well as some personal strategy to create a lineup for each site. I’ll be putting up two lineups each day on a rotating basis (DS/DD on Monday, DD/FD on Tuesday, FD/DS on Wednesday, and so on). I encourage you to utilize the apps I linked to above as they are some of the most valuable tools available in the daily fantasy community.

Finally, you should not just blindly follow these lineups. Very often guys are ruled out as it gets closer to tip-off and player usage becomes clearer. There are tons of places to check for pre game updates, but I’ve found Rotoworld and Twitter searches work best for me.

Game Notes:

Before I get to the games, I want to tell you about a pretty cool promo we are rolling out, we are offering a free three-month subscription for anyone who makes a new deposit with one of our partner sites using the referral code “revlis” or by using one of the following links – DraftDay, DraftStreet, and FanDuel – once you make a deposit, enjoy your rotoViz subscription plus higher first-time deposit bonuses. To expedite the process, confirm your deposit by sending an email with your daily fantasy username to revlisfootball@gmail.com.

– Another big night for the Association with 14 games scheduled and it feels like there is more undervalued talent available than usual. I’m targeting a couple shorthanded teams that will be forced to play their guys extended minutes.

– I’m going to start with Chicago, who ended the Knicks win-streak in a long overtime battle last night. No doubt, it will be a tough back-to-back, but Jimmy Butler, Nate Robinson and Carlos Boozer look extra juicy against the lowly Raptors.

– Tony Parker vowed to play on Friday vs. Sacramento, but just this morning the nightmare of all daily fantasy players, Gregg Popovich, said he is not certain to play. Parker is only $12k on DraftStreet and you’d be hard pressed to find someone in that salary-tier with more upside…

– Well that’s actually not true, because Jeff Green is $900 cheaper. Both Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett will not play against Miami on Friday. The Heat will most likely sit out some of their starters as well so Green will do all of the heavy lifting in this one. He’s my favorite play of the day, but will probably be near 100% owned in all GPPs.

– Thaddeus Young has been on of those guys who struggles in certain matchups, but can be great in others. In situations like this I usually like to defer to our RotoViz app.

– In the team’s first two games without Danilo Gallinari, Corey Brewer has come off the bench and exploded for 30 and 34 fantasy points. His salary still sits at $10.5k pretty much making him a must play on any other night, but with so much value available, I’d only play Brewer on DraftDay where the penalty isn’t as much for a missed field goal.

– Mike Conley has easily been the most consistent fantasy players on the Grizzlies over the past month. He’s gone over 30 fantasy point in 12 of his last 13 games and tonight he draws one of the easiest matchups in the league in Jeremy Lin. Start this man.

– Finally, be sure to check for an update on Tony Parker, and frankly the rest of the league as no one is safe from the late scratch at this time of the year.
