Updated TE Efficiency Numbers (Including SNF & MNF)

charlesclay

The table below is an update to the post from Monday for TE efficiency numbers (see that post if you don’t know what FPOP is). In addition to getting the SNF and MNF numbers in I’ve also made a stat correction to reflect Charles Clay as a TE. One additional improvement I made to the table was based on a reader request and that is to show the player’s career rate for FPOP in addition to their 2013 rates. Hopefully this will let you know what amount of what we’re seeing might revert to the mean and what amount will stay above average. You can expect a player like Jimmy Graham to continue to stay above average (or at least I expect him to) while a player like Owen Daniels is unlikely to keep up his current efficiency (although that doesn’t automatically make him a sell).

I think the only real noteworthy thing to add here on top of my thoughts from Monday is that the Bengals continued to use both of their TEs in Week 2. From a fantasy standpoint it seems like it’s tough to start either guy because no matter which guy you choose you’re likely getting around TE24 usage. If you do start either of them you’ll be sitting there hoping to end up with the one that scores.

Justin Watson is Primed for a 2nd Year Breakout

In my recent article on Scott Miller I took a breather from telling you why the diminutive phenom is a must add, so that I could briefly profile his teammate, second-year WR Justin Watson. If Watson is interesting enough to warrant a mention in another player’s article, he’s probably worth

Opportunity Scores: The Top Landing Spots For Rookie Wide Receivers

A few years ago, RotoViz OG Kevin Cole created a formula for determining which teams were the best landing spots for rookie wide receivers. In fantasy and real football, performance is a function of opportunity. Whether the opportunity was created through talent, draft position, or lack of competition, it doesn’t

Hunter Henry: Ready to Breakout Again?

It has been said in the past that NFL stands for Not For Long, as well as No Fun League and of course the lesser used National Football League. All three may be true, but the first pretty much sums up the fleeting nature of the game, and the careers
