Fantasy Football QB Streaming for Week 5

Blake Bortles

Streaming quarterbacks can be a viable option for the players who need a bye-week fill in or the guys who went with the late round QB strategy. Not only can get it help in seasonal leagues, but this information can carry over to my favorite aspect of fantasy football, daily fantasy sports.

Blake Bortles

Blake Bortles makes the cover story again, just like he did last week. He may have over taken my normal recommendation of every week streamer in Geno Smith. Mike Glennon just threw for 302 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Steelers defense that Bortles is about to face.

Using the RotoViz GLSP App, we can see that Bortles has a good looking projection for this week. The Steelers have given up at least 300 passing yards and two TDs in half of their games this year. Pro Football Focus ranks them with the fourth-worst overall defense and the seventh-worst defense when it comes to pass coverage. Bortles should feast on this terrible defensive squad.

Eli Manning

The Giants offense seems to have been clicking as of late. Other than his first game of the season, Eli Manning has posted double-digit fantasy numbers in every game this year, with one of those games over 30 points. The Giants have run the fourth most offensive plays per game at 274 plays this season, averaging 68.5/game. On the flip side of that, the Falcons allow the fifth-most offensive plays per game. Teddy Bridgewater just looked like a veteran QB against these Falcons after throwing for 312 yards. Vegas has this game projected to be the third-highest scoring game this week, so I think you could count on Manning to post respectable fantasy numbers against this mediocre defense.

Ryan Fitzpatrick

There are only two teams on bye this week so players may not be relying on streamers as much this week as they did last week.

Fitzpatrick has a respectable outlook against this Dallas defense this week, using the RotoViz GLSP App. The Cowboys have very much turned into a ball control team with DeMarco Murray helping them dominate time of possession. Fitzpatrick has one of the better receiving corps in the league with DeAndre Hopkins and Andre Johnson and Fitzpatrick is a competent QB. Fitzpatrick should provide the QB production you need if you’re in a desperate situation while browsing waivers this week.

How I Rank Them

1. Eli Manning

2. Blake Bortles

3. Ryan Fitzpatrick
