Despite what seems like an unassailable grip on the overall TE1 spot in fantasy football for Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller has to be on the short list of players who could overtake Kelce by the end of the 2021 season. Waller has exploded over the past two seasons with a pair of 1,000-yard seasons, including last year’s 107-reception, 1,196-yard campaign. Waller finished 2020 with nine touchdowns and proved to be quarterback Derek Carr’s top target with a 27.7 percent target share. With wide receiver Nelson Agholor gone and questions about the team’s young wideouts, Waller should once again post a 100-catch season. He should be the second tight end drafted in redraft leagues.
