Can We Defeat Betteridge’s Law of Headlines? Is Brock Bowers Already the Best Tight End Ever?

A few weeks ago I asked whether Brock Bowers was already the TE1 in both redraft and dynasty. That was perhaps somewhat premature after Week 2, but the answer to both questions has since become obvious. I’m sensitive to Betteridge’s law of headlines, but at the very least my previous Bowers article provides a counterexample. After six weeks of 2024, Bowers is the TE1 in FFPC scoring. Not the TE1 among rookies, but among all TEs in the league.

Yet this simple ranking of Bowers among 2024 TEs might underrate his performance to some degree.
