Trick or Treat! Week 9 Tight End Streamers

Well wasn’t National Tight Ends Day 2024 fun! Per Dante Koplowitz-Fleming on X, Sunday in Week 8 saw 177 TE receptions, 1,965 receiving yards, and 16 touchdown receptions for TEs. Just wow. Just look at all these fantasy-relevant TEs from Week 8!

Stats do not include players from Monday Night Football

Just like Christmas, the festivities are over all too quickly. We must return to the rat race and get on with our work. So if you need help at TE this week, you’ve come to the right place. Here are three players you can scoop up off the waiver wire and plug into your lineups for the Week 9 games. It’s not looking great on the wire this week. But after such an explosion of production last week, it’s a tough act to follow.

Tyler Conklin (72.8%) vs. Houston Texans

Tyler Conklin has seen his rostered percentage drop below 50% over the last few weeks. This is sadly ironic, as he is now on a two-game touchdown streak after going nearly two seasons without a single score. Conklin plays an awful lot of snaps for the Jets and runs a lot of routes. He is second among all TEs in routes.

Conklin seems presently immune to the dysfunction surrounding the Jets at present and that should keep him somewhat fantasy relevant. This is despite a less-than-ideal matchup. The Texans are not scared of TEs and don’t let TEs beat them. Over their last five games, the Texans rank 31st in PPR points per game allowed, 30th in targets per game, 32nd in receptions per game, and 31st in receiving yards per game. Conklin might need his touchdown streak to make him relevant in fantasy this week. But Conklin does seem to have developed some level of chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, so that has to count for something, right?

Chig Okonkwo Might Not Have the Counting Stats, But the YAC Can Make Him a Dangerous Weapon

The Commanders, desperately in need of players to catch passes from (hopefully) Jayden Daniels in 2026, added former Titans tight end Chig Okonkwo in free agency. The former Maryland Terrapin signed a three-year pact with the Commanders. But does this change of scenery make Okonkwo an attractive fantasy proposition in 2026? Volume 2 of the 2026 RotoViz Rookie Draft Guide is out now! Jam-packed with comprehensive…...

Mike Evans’ Red Zone Prowess Should Keep Him Fantasy Relevant with the 49ers

An era came to an end in Tampa Bay, with one of the greatest players in Buccaneers history waving goodbye to the team in free agency. Mike Evans is off to San Francisco on a three-year, $42m deal, joining an interesting list of players who have donned both 49ers and Bucs red. (This list includes Steve Young, Trent Dilfer, and Jeff Garcia.) What does this…...

Harold Fannin’s Historic Rookie Season Was a Lone Bright Spot for the Browns, But Can He Build On His Success in Year 2?

The 2025 NFL season is not one that many people linked to the Cleveland Browns will remember fondly. Well, maybe Myles Garrett, who set a new single-season mark for sacks, after all. But apart from him, not many people covered themselves in glory last season. Amid the wreckage of a campaign that saw head coach Kevin Stefanski lose his job, there was one bright spot,…...
