Kevin Szafraniec details the complex and evolving draft profile of 2026’s potential WR1 Jordyn Tyson as the NFL Draft approaches.
Throughout much of the 2025 college football season, Jordyn Tyson was being pegged as the top wide receiver prospect in the 2026 draft. After injuries had plagued him throughout his college career, Tyson came out on a mission to prove he was an elite receiver last year. Through the first seven games of the season, he totaled 57 receptions and never fell below six catches in a single game. Tyson also cleared 100 yards in four games and only failed to reel in a touchdown once.
Sadly, Tyson injured his right hamstring during a 10-105-1 effort against No. 7 Texas Tech in the middle of October. Although Tyson was able to help propel Arizona State to victory, the win came at a cost, as the Sun Devils’ star wideout would end up sidelined for the next month. Tyson would return for the Sun Devils’ final two games of the regular season but only put up a combined 4-83-0 receiving line before injuring his left hamstring against Arizona.
Jordyn Tyson appears to have reaggravated his hamstring injury on this play.

When Arizona State’s season came to a close, Tyson finished with an insane 56% Dominator Rating, a 47% TD market share, and a 23% share of the offense’s total yards in his nine active games. Mind you, he accomplished all of this despite two subpar performances to finish his college career.

However, not all of Tyson’s advanced stats from 2025 came out smelling like roses, something that we highlighted in the 2026 RotoViz Rookie Draft Guide:

As mentioned in Tyson’s profile in the guide, his hamstring injury prevented him from participating in most of the athletic testing at the combine. This was a concerning development considering he had three months to rehab from the injury. Luckily for Tyson — and his draft stock — he was able to make it onto the field to hold a private workout for NFL teams less than a week prior to the beginning of the draft.
Still, there is no shortage of opinions on how NFL teams and the fantasy community should weigh the risk and reward in his profile. While most of the conversation centers around his injury history, there are some analytical concerns that need to be addressed as well. So, let’s dig into the recent developments involving Tyson and find out whether we should buy or sell him ahead of the NFL Draft.
