The Chicago Bears Defense entered the year as one of the premier units in the league, but a few lackluster performances early on in the season diminished their stock. They have combined for 11 sacks in their first five games, 3.5 of which have come at the hands of Khalil Mack. That sacking prowess gets put to the test Sunday against Carolina, who has not yielded a sack in each of its last two contests. Despite the Panthers stout offensive interior and Teddy Bridgewaters league-high (73.4%) completion percentage, Chicagos defense remains in a solid spot Sunday with Christian McCaffrey (ankle) still sidelined. Theyre a low-end unit in season-long leagues, but hold DFS upside due to their talent. Looking ahead, theyll face some high-octane offensive groups (Rams, Saints, Titans), which is all the more reason to utilize the group for Sunday and then look elsewhere.
