Week 16 Fantasy Football Kicker Streaming

The Process

Before I look to Week 16 it is important to observe if the selection process was effective. Here is a recap of last week’s recommendations. If you need a refresher on what to look for when analyzing kickers, read the Week 2 Fantasy Football Kicker Streaming article.

Name, Team Stat Line Week 15 Rank
1 Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers FG 3/3 XP 1/2 T – 3
2 Daniel Carlson, Oakland Raiders FG 3/4 XP 1/1 T – 3
3 Matt Gay, Tampa Bay Buccaneers FG 1/2 XP 5/5 T – 9
4 Ryan Succop, Tennessee Titans   FG 0/1 XP 3/3 T – 27

Well, Succop did in fact suck it up! Outside of that it was a fantastic week. Finding three streamers in the top 10 is delightful. Now it’s Championship Week — so it’s time to dominate.

This is a tough week — the kickers with the best matchups are likely rostered, so sticking with Gould or Jason Myers might be the best course of action.

Week 16 Streaming Options

All ownership percentages are based on Yahoo leagues. To ensure relevance, only kickers with ownership percentages less than 50% are used.

Favorite Options

Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons, 42%

The Falcons offense has been clicking of late. I fully expect that to continue this week at home versus the Jaguars.  The Falcons have an implied point total of 26.25. While the Jaguars opponents have not been passing often, quarterbacks facing them have been efficient at accumulating yards. The Falcons will have plenty of opportunities to score.

Kai Forbath, Dallas Cowboys, 20%

The Cowboys offense exploded for 44 points, and Vegas expects them to be in the top third in scoring again this week. The Eagles have been atrocious verse the pass, which will lead to plenty of scoring chances. Brett Maher’s injury opens up a favorable streaming matchup for your Championship game.

Michael Badgley, Los Angeles Chargers, 13%

The Chargers are home favorites verse an Oakland team that allows the sixth-most passing yards a game. The Chargers are the eighth-worst red zone scoring offense, scoring a touchdown on only 50% of their opportunities. This combo creates a scenario for Badgley to shine. I expect multiple FG chances for the Chargers, and at least a couple short attempts.

Dan Bailey, Minnesota Vikings, 28%

Vegas has this tilt ranked as the fifth highest-scoring game of the week and the Vikings are home favorites. With injuries to the Vikings running backs, scoring touchdowns could prove more difficult. This is especially true because the Packers’ red-zone defense is the fifth-best in the NFL.
