Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had a fantastic debut with the team on Sunday. He was targeted a whopping 16 times in the game and reeled in 14 catches for 151 yards, helping lead the team to a 24-20 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. No other Cardinal had over five targets or more than 35 receiving yards in the game. Hopkins also appeared to score a touchdown on a long 33-yard play in the fourth quarter, but a replay ruled him down just shy of the goal-line. Regardless, Hopkins’ high target share and remarkable performance should put to rest any doubt that he’d lose some of his value on his new team. He’s clearly an elite WR1 going forward.
