The Pittsburgh Steelers and free-agent edge rusher Melvin Ingram agreed to a one-year deal on Monday. Ingram spent his entire nine-year career with the Los Angeles Chargers, posting 49 sacks and earning three trips to the Pro Bowl. The Steelers are looking to Ingram to help fill the defensive end spot opposite T.J. Watt that was previously held by Bud Dupree. Ingram will reportedly compete with second-year player Alex Highsmith in camp to open the year as the starter. Ingram struggled with a knee injury in 2020, appearing in just seven games and playing into the Chargers allowing him to leave in free agency. If Ingram is healthy in 2021, he will add to what is already expected to be one of the top fantasy defenses this season.
