Running up That (Taysom) Hill, and Other Stranger Things: Week 7 Tight End Streamers
Image Credit: Matthew Maxey/Icon Sportswire. Pictured: Taysom Hill.

Week 6 is in the rearview mirror, and we are hurtling toward the halfway point of the 2023 season. Last week saw its fair amount of craziness — more than its fair share, some might say — with some random scoring occurring across all fantasy-relevant positions. The tight end spot saw some new names emerge among the top scorers, with players like Michael Mayer, Brenton Strange, and Quintin Morris all helping the minuscule number of fantasy managers who actually started them. This is especially true of Morris, who was rostered in approximately zero ESPN leagues.

But as you are aware, we do not fear the weirdness at the TE spot. We embrace it. We need it. I mean, we don’t need all the weirdness. We probably don’t need to see George Kittle score fewer fantasy points than 48 other players, but I digress. That is why you are reading this piece, as you look for players widely available in your leagues to plug into your TE spot for the week ahead. With this in mind, I have the usual three names that you should be able to find on your waiver wires this week. All three are available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues (in fact they’re all available in over 80% this week), and all three can do a job for you in Week 7. Enjoy!

Neil Dutton

Lead Writer, soft spot for the tight end position. Will never stop loving Duke Johnson.

Planting Flags: Who Are the RotoViz Writer’s “Guys” in the 2024 NFL Draft?

With the 2024 NFL Draft mere days away, I thought it would be a good idea to let the readers know who are the apples of the RotoViz team’s eyes in this particular draft class. Not necessarily the best player, or the most discussed, but the players who have perhaps flown somewhat under the radar, but whose landing spot is something we will be watching…...

Sam LaPorta and his Merry Men: The 2023 Rookie Tight End Review

Sam LaPorta enjoyed one of the better rookie seasons for a tight end in NFL history. But he wasn’t the only fresh-faced newbie to come into the NFL at fantasy sports’ most toxic position in 2023. Indeed, the position has received a healthy boost of young talent in recent years. This talent is set to fill the void left by the inevitable drop-off from Travis…...

Noah Fant: The More Things Stay the Same, the More They Change

It may have surprised some when Noah Fant, hitting free agency for the first time in his NFL career, decided to stay with the Seattle Seahawks. Fant signed a two-year deal, which left me scratching my head initially. I had high hopes for Fant landing on a new team, with the promise of an expanded role in an offense and a chance to finally realize…...
