Kevin Szafraniec kicks off his deep dive into the NFC North by identifying the best and worst picks on the Chicago Bears’ roster in 2026 best ball drafts.

Flashy young head coaching hires rarely hit the ground running in Year 1. But it’s safe to say Ben Johnson delivered on the hype during his first year in Chicago, and then some.

In his head coaching debut, Johnson led a Bears team that finished 5-12 in 2024 to an 11-6 record and an NFC North title in 2025. The exclamation mark on Chicago’s season was a playoff win over division rival Green Bay in the opening round of the playoffs. Although their season ended a week later, the Bears pushed the Rams to the brink before eventually falling just short in overtime.

This offseason, Chicago reloaded their roster in hopes of taking another step forward in Johnson’s second season. With expectations high, will the Chicago offense continue on its upward trajectory in 2026, or are we bound to see some regression in the Windy City?

In this series, we will focus on best ball ADP from the FFPC slim format, which features 20-round drafts, tight-end premium scoring (1.5 points per TE reception and 1.0 PPR for all other positions), and starting lineups consisting of one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, and two standard flex spots.
