Perhaps no team was more eager to put 2025 in the rearview than the Minnesota Vikings. Despite finishing the year with a respectable 9-8 record, the JJ McCarthy experiment was an unmitigated disaster.
The quarterback singlehandedly decreased the value of every piece of the Vikings offense, which is no easy feat when your primary receivers are Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson. Belief in McCarthy was the first major misstep for head coach Kevin O’Connell, who earned a reputation as one of the NFL’s brightest young offensive minds during his first three years in Minnesota.
In order to get back on track, the Vikings reloaded their roster this offseason. Most notably, the team brought aboard a new starting QB to pilot the offense. Yet, skepticism lingers around the Minnesota passing game after the offense failed so spectacularly in 2025. Could this discount make the Vikings’ stars the most undervalued commodities in 2026 best ball drafts?
