Jaylen Waddle Goes to Miami and the Dolphins Suddenly Look Explosive

With the sixth pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected Jaylen Waddle, former Alabama wide receiver. He was the second WR selected with Ja’Marr Chase going to the Cincinnati Bengals at pick five.

Waddle played three seasons for the Crimson Tide and appeared in 34 games. His 2020 season was cut short due to injury, and he ended up playing just six games. Waddle was never a truly dominant member of the Alabama receiving corps. He finished his collegiate career with 106 receptions for 1,999 yards and 14 touchdowns. Waddle’s best season came as a freshman when he caught 45 passes for 848 yards. He also scored seven times. He was off to a historic start in 2020 before being injured. In the season’s first four games, he amassed 25 receptions for 557 yards and four touchdowns. If he’d stayed healthy for the entire season, DeVonta Smith probably would not have won the Heisman Trophy.

Lead Writer, soft spot for the tight end position. Will never stop loving Duke Johnson.

Planting Flags: Who Are the RotoViz Writer’s “Guys” in the 2024 NFL Draft?

With the 2024 NFL Draft mere days away, I thought it would be a good idea to let the readers know who are the apples of the RotoViz team’s eyes in this particular draft class. Not necessarily the best player, or the most discussed, but the players who have perhaps flown somewhat under the radar, but whose landing spot is something we will be watching…...

Sam LaPorta and his Merry Men: The 2023 Rookie Tight End Review

Sam LaPorta enjoyed one of the better rookie seasons for a tight end in NFL history. But he wasn’t the only fresh-faced newbie to come into the NFL at fantasy sports’ most toxic position in 2023. Indeed, the position has received a healthy boost of young talent in recent years. This talent is set to fill the void left by the inevitable drop-off from Travis…...

Noah Fant: The More Things Stay the Same, the More They Change

It may have surprised some when Noah Fant, hitting free agency for the first time in his NFL career, decided to stay with the Seattle Seahawks. Fant signed a two-year deal, which left me scratching my head initially. I had high hopes for Fant landing on a new team, with the promise of an expanded role in an offense and a chance to finally realize…...
