Washington Football Team running back J.D. McKissic has played well in the lead-back role and can be started in fantasy, even if rookie running backAntonio Gibson (toe) returns this week. McKissic had 24 carries over the last two weeks after not having double-digit carries in any game prior. In addition to added rushing volume, McKissic maintained his role on passing downs, averaging eight targets per game over the last three weeks. If Gibson is back, that would affect McKissic’s rushing volume, but he should see an uptick in pass targets with wide receiverTerry McLaurin (ankle) unlikely to play. Fantasy managers in PPR leagues should trust McKissic as an RB3/flex, and he’d be a must-start in all formats if Gibson is ruled out.
