Buffalo Bills running back Matt Breida gives the team a home run-hitting element in the backfield, but his place on the final 53-man roster this summer isn’t secure heading into training camp. Breida must beat out Antonio Williams and Christian Wade for the final spot in the running backs room. Devin Singletary and Zack Moss are locks, and the Bills might not carry more than three, considering how often they pass the ball. Breida will give himself a much better shot if he can make himself valuable on special teams. The 26-year-old made a name for himself with the San Francisco 49ers from 2017-19, but he played in just 12 games (one start) with the Miami Dolphins last year and had only 59 carries for 254 yards (career-low 4.3 yards per carry) and no touchdowns. He’ll also be making the league minimum in 2021.
