New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (knee) said his right knee is feeling “pretty good,” but he remains non-committal on how much he’ll do at training camp and whether he’ll be ready for Week 1. Barkley is not expected to be a full-go at the start of training camp, a source said last month. Ever since he injured his ACL in Week 2 of last year, both Barkley and the team have been reluctant to put a timetable on his return. The Giants won’t put him on the field in live situations until he’s 100 percent, and that might not come until October. The 24-year-old is likely to have his workload reduced early on, and combined with all the injuries he’s had early in his career, Barkley’s early round price will surely drop. However, when healthy, he has the talent to be a high-end RB1.
