After three crazy and ridiculously fun weeks to start the season, I want to express my gratitude at having the opportunity to do this. Sharing fantasy football with the RotoViz community is a privilege I try not to take for granted. Thank you to the writers, programmers, readers, and listeners. Thank you to the game providers, the NFL players who put their bodies on the line for our entertainment, all of the thousands of people behind the scenes who make all of this possible and do it in the context of a pandemic.
And Week 3 was a record-breaking, throat-clearing, stomach-twisting amalgam of guts, glamour, and the occasional coaching misfire. (We’re also thankful for the coaches, even when we second guess.) In short, it was awesome.
It also provided something of re-centering of the playing field. Josh Allen reminded everyone why he was a priority pick, and Saquon Barkley looked at least a little like the guy who was selected No. 1 overall two short years ago, D.K. Metcalf reclaimed the mantle in Seattle, while DeSean Jackson and Emmanuel Sanders offered notice that they’re still in the NFL.
As long as you didn’t draft Robert Woods over Cooper Kupp, you’re probably feeling okay today. That one did not rebalance.
