A Couple of Stats That Might Change Your Mind About the Highest-Profile Running Back Committees

A few weeks ago, I wrote a piece arguing for Breece Hall as the most important player in fantasy. On Monday afternoon, Ben Gretch and I recorded our favorite podcast – the one where we give our first-round predictions for next year’s redraft leagues. Hall landed in the top five for both of us.

Hours later, Cook signed with the Jets and Elliott signed with the Patriots, creating roadblocks for two of our priority targets. Over the next 24 hours, I received a flurry of messages from folks saying they were going to take the new prices as an opportunity to load up and create extreme positions in the two young stars. (It’s nice to have friends.)

But is this the right approach? Or should we admit that our gamble(s) failed? As always, the answer is nuanced, but some of the data may surprise you.
