The Good, The Bad, and The Oh So Ugly – Week 5 Edition

We are somehow already through five weeks of the 2019 NFL season. There are multiple breakout players that are here to stay, and known commodities that seem to have faded to fantasy irrelevance. This is The Good, the Bad, and the Oh So Ugly from Week 5. The Good 1) Chris Godwin, through five weeks of the 2019 NFL season, is the overall WR1 in fantasy. His hype throughout the offseason was insanely high, but it turns out that it was warranted. Jameis Winston’s go-to man this season has been Godwin, not Mike Evans. Winston has an NFL Passer Rating of 156.9 when targeting…...

The Good, The Bad, and The Oh So Ugly – Week 3 Edition

Week 3 of the NFL season is in the books, and some players are starting to show their true colors. Who should we start to worry about and should we be patient with? This is The Good, the Bad, and the Oh So Ugly from Week 3. The Good: 1) The entire Kansas City Chiefs offense is a beautiful thing to watch. The Chiefs put up 503 total offensive yards on Sunday against a Baltimore Ravens defense that only allowed 200 and 349 total yards in the first two weeks. It looks like no defense is going to be able…...

The Good, The Bad, and The Oh So Ugly From Week 2

Week 2 of the NFL season is in the books, and we’ve still got as many questions as we have answers. Here’s the good, the bad, and the oh so ugly for Week 2. The Good: 1) Dalvin Cook is proving to be an absolute stud. Through two games, Cook has pounded the ground for 265 yards and three TDs on 41 carries. He looks fully healthy and is finally getting the workload that we had hoped for last season. Cook only exceeded 20 fantasy points in one game last year; he has scored more than 25 points in each…...

The Good, The Bad, and The Oh So Ugly in Week 1

The first week of the NFL season has officially wrapped up with some big surprises, big injuries, and big-time offenses scoring points for your fantasy football teams. We’ve spent the offseason speculating about how these rosters might operate, and now we can start to get a feel for how to assess fantasy matchups moving forward. There’s a good, bad, and ugly to everything in life. Here are my takeaways for Week 1. The Good: 1) Christian McCaffrey is a fantasy god. He received 30 touches — resulting in 209 yards and 2 TDs. McCaffrey’s 11 targets led the team. No…...

All of the Bucs Are Still Undervalued: Projecting Tampa Bay’s Offense

The fantasy community faces a conundrum: Almost everyone believes in the individual talents of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and O.J. Howard — but they can’t all possibly be fantasy relevant in 2019, right?  I am here to say that those three can all have elite seasons. Yes … even with Jameis Winston, the turnover king. Where does my confidence come from? My confidence comes from Tampa Bay going out and stealing a brilliant man out of retirement, new head coach Bruce Arians.  The Coaching Change Bruce Arians has worked with some excellent quarterbacks over the years: Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger,…...
