The Rundown: Andre Williams, Nick Foles, Chris Johnson, and More

Fantasy football news about Andre Williams, Nick Foles, Sam Bradford, Chris Johnson, and more.

Andre Williams

Williams averaged over 20 carries in the final four games of last season. Yes, I know that happens to be when Rashad Jennings happened to miss some time due to injury. Yes, I also know Jennings has never happened to play a full 16-game schedule.

Nick Foles

Signed on for two more years in St. Louis. At a redraft ADP of QB28, sign me up. True, we’ve got him projected to score poorly this year. But I think our projections could be wrong. Currently we’re forecasting about 16.9 points/game for Foles. But last year, Shaun Hill and Austin Davis managed six games above that threshold. Foles may not be a world beater, but I think he’s better than those two. I’m willing to take a chance at the price. At a minimum, having the same QB all season should help St. Louis’ other skill players. Side note: The Rams list three WRs as starters, suggesting maybe (maybe) they plan to feature more passing this year.

Ray Rice

Cleveland has admitted considering Rice. Bit by bit, NFL teams come closer to signing him. Admittedly, his past performance wasn’t great. But if, as he explains, it was due to injury, then he offers a lot more upside than any other free agent RBs.

Chris Johnson

Apparently has an offer from Arizona. I’m not biting. But I would use the opportunity to get either Andre Ellington or David Johnson at any sort of discount.

Marques Colston

Took a big-time pay cut this offseason. We may have been too early, but it does look like he’s getting phased out. And Brandon Colemanthe guy we suggested might take his place has been getting lots of offseason buzz.

Rueben Randle

The Giants have essentially acknowledged that their base offense will be a three wide receiver set. Which means Randle is a starter. And healthy. And the cheapest receiver on what’s expected to be a very good offense.

Percy Harvin

Is listed as a “co starter” with Robert Woods. I much prefer Woods.

Sam Bradford

Is having a fabulous training camp, apparently. But don’t forget about his backup.

Bryce Brown

Has fumbled away his spot on the depth chart. Karlos Williams is a recommended target.

Ryan Fitzpatrick

As far as I can tell, was only drafted in two MFL10 leagues between August fifth and ninth. That’ll go up, but he’ll probably remain cheap for a while. Remember last year when he posted three 20+ point games and another at over 40+ points? Or 2013, when he posted four 20+ point games and another over 30 points? He’s a viable late round QB in the MFL10 format.
