Before I look to Week 14 it is important to see whether the selection process was effective. Here is a recap of last week’s recommendations. If you need a refresher on what to look for when analyzing kickers, read the Week 2 Fantasy Football Kicker Streaming article.
|Name, Team||Stat Line||Week 13 Rank|
|1||Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles||FG 3/4 XP 2/2||3|
|2||Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers||FG 1/1 XP 4/4||T – 15|
|3||Josh Lambo, Jacksonville Jaguars||FG 1/1 XP 0/0||T – 28|
|4||Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks||FG 3/3 XP 4/4||2|
To quote myself, “Recommending a Jaguars K is a little terrifying … the Jaguars have not been consistent and if they are in a hole early, the kicking game could become irrelevant.” Well, that was definitely what took place. Hopefully you were able to snag a different kicker.
This week is absolutely crazy for me — so the process and explanation piece will be missing, but I wanted to get you all the recommendations for the playoffs. Let’s be honest though, you haven’t read the narrative portion of this column in weeks!
Week 14 Streaming Options
All ownership percentages are based on Yahoo leagues. To ensure relevance, only kickers with ownership percentages less than 50% are used.
Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers, 47%
The Packers have the second-highest implied point total, and are favored by 12.5 points at home. Fire him up!
Dan Bailey, Minnesota Vikings, 15%
The Vikings have the highest implied point total, are also at home, and are favored by an only slightly less attractive 11.5 points.
New England Kicker, New England, 0%
This one is fun — whoever the Pats sign will be available in your league, and will be worth picking up. The Patriots will be starting their fifth kicker of the season — seems like they enjoy streaming the position as well.
Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers, 21%
Arizona gives up the sixth-most points to the kicker position. Boswell will have plenty of opportunities.
