All season long Zachary Krueger will go in-depth with all of the key wide receiver performances. Providing weekly targets, air yards breakdowns, and fantasy points over expectation trends, he’ll help you dominate the waiver wire and make the best start/sit decisions in your upcoming fantasy football matchups.

All offseason, the 2020 rookie wide receiver class was discussed as perhaps the best class of the last several years. Guys like CeeDee Lamb, Henry Ruggs, Jerry Jeudy and Justin Jefferson were just a few of the rookies being lauded as the cream of the crop.

Week 4 gave us a lot to be excited about, but perhaps most importantly, it gave us a taste of what the star wide receiver landscape will look like in the near future.

In addition to some noteworthy rookie performances, other young wideouts burst onto the scene and could become popular waiver adds this week.

Here’s a look at some of the noteworthy receiver performances from Week 4.

Darnell Mooney

Last week, Sam Wallace took to The Blitz to dive deeper on Bears rookie wide receiver Darnell Mooney. In the article, Sam points out Mooney’s elite speed and player comps, which are both worth mentioning for a player who is quickly ascending Chicago’s WR depth chart.

Prior to Week 4, Mooney was second on the Bears in snap share (52%) and third in WR targets (11). Week 3 also marked the second week in a row where Mooney out snapped fellow WR Anthony Miller, while matching him in targets with five.

Given the recent numbers, Mooney’s eventual usurping of Miller on the depth chart felt inevitable. In Week 4 however, it finally came to a head.

In his Week 4 tilt against the Colts, Mooney was second among Bears WRs with nine targets, and finished the day with 9.9 PPR points. Mooney’s receiving line of 5/52/0 bested Miller’s 3/19/0 line, as Mooney has now seen 17 targets over the last three week’s to Miller’s 10.
