Theo Johnson is an Intriguing Prospect, but Will he be a Fantasy Factor in 2024?

After his offseason antics, Theo Johnson became a name to monitor among NFL draftniks and dynasty managers. His apparent lack of college production, allied to a fascinating athletic profile, made his NFL landing spot a point of interest. But what is the NFL getting in Johnson, and should fantasy managers be paying closer attention?

Who is This Guy Anyway?

Johnson does not, it must be said, come into the NFL with a long track record of production from his college days. Johnson played 44 games for Penn State, catching 77 balls for 938 yards, scoring 12 touchdowns. The bulk of this production came in 2023 when he set career highs with 34 grabs, 341 yards, and seven scores. This output places him in some rather undistinguished company, which might be putting it mildly.

However, I do have to say, his closest sim on this list does make for interesting reading. (Foreshadowing. . . .)

Johnson may not have turned many heads with his counting stats, but the same cannot be said for his athletic profile.
