Cole Kmet Is a Top TE Value in 2025, But 1 Enigmatic Player Could Be Even Better: TE Advanced Stats Deep Dive, Part 5

When it comes to fantasy football, receiving production at running back, wide receiver, and tight end is the backbone of strong roster construction. While counting stats such as yards, receptions, and touchdowns help to tell the story, delving deeper can help fantasy managers identify breakouts before they occur, rather than react to last year’s trends.

That is where RotoViz’s Advanced Stats Explorer comes in. With six years of advanced passing, rushing, and receiving data, the Advanced Stats Explorer gives us an opportunity to get ahead of the competition by digging deeper into the data. This can help both to find potential stars and identify players who could be headed for a decline before other fantasy managers see it coming.

Cole Kmet has been one of the most reliable TEs in the league at reeling in his catchable targets since he entered the league in 2020. Even though he hasn’t always had the best quality of targets, that has never stopped him from making the most of the opportunities he has received. His overall opportunities took a hit last season, but he could make a big leap forward in 2025 with the changes we have seen in Chicago. Yet for as large of a step back as Kmet took, another young TE fell even further last year. While he has not shown the same consistency as Kmet, this 2024 underperformer could have an even bigger bounceback than Chicago’s TE1 in 2025.
