Despite an obvious need to add wide receivers to their offense to help ease the burden on CeeDee Lamb, Dallas did not add any pass catchers in the 2025 NFL Draft. A couple of weeks after the draft, the Cowboys rectified their shortcoming by trading a 2026 third-round pick plus a 2027 fifth-rounder to the Steelers for George Pickens and a 2027 sixth-round pick.
⚠️ TRADE ALERT ⚠️
We’ve agreed to terms to acquire WR George Pickens and a 2027 6th-round pick from the Steelers in exchange for a 2026 3rd-round pick and a 2027 5th-round pick.

Pickens’ highlight reels show his talent is undeniable. Unfortunately, he is just as noteworthy for the distractions he creates on and off the field as he is for the acrobatic catches he puts on tape.
Pickens is heading into the final year of his rookie deal, yet he has stated that he is not looking for a contract extension from Dallas following the deal. Instead, he is planning to use 2025 as a platform to prove to NFL teams that he deserves to be paid like one of the premier WRs in the league.
Will the allure of a monstrous payday be enough for Pickens to show NFL teams the best version of himself in 2025, or are we in store for the same antics we have come to expect from him throughout his career?
