Best Ball Workshop: Foundations of Success – The Best 2-Round Starts May Not Be What You Expect

In the first five lessons of the 2020 Best Ball Workshop, we used the Roster Construction Explorer to provide the latest intel on each of the onesie positions. The insights from the 2019 Workshop led to sky-high win rates overall and dynamic results at the onesie positions. Now in Lesson 6, we move to the marquee positions of RB and WR.

In the next several lessons, we’ll take a look at the RB and WR positions from multiple angles and develop our big picture 2020 tactics. Today we start with the foundation of your roster. We’re often told you can’t win your league in the first couple of rounds, but you can lose it. Is this true in best ball? Are there constructions that put us on the path to victory and others that lead us to ruin?

We’ll also dive into a few of the most extreme starts beyond the initial rounds. How does Zero RB look compared to RB Heavy after the strong performance from early-round RBs in 2019? The Fanball RCE has the answers and gets us ready for upcoming investigations of the RB and WR positions.
