Streaming Defenses: Week 10

One of the biggest mistakes novice fantasy players make is reaching too early in a draft for a team defense. This is a mistake for several reasons, but most importantly because you can stream the position, picking up a defense with a great matchup each week.

In this series, I’ll be highlighting the best defensive matchups with an emphasis on defenses that should be available in most leagues.

BEST STREAMING DEFENSES IN WEEK 10

New York Jets

This is the week I have been waiting for with the Jets facing Nathan Peterman and the Bills. The Bears got three interceptions, including two defensive touchdowns last week. This Bills offense is simply terrible and the Jets will pay off. The Bills have the lowest implied points total of the week.

Buffalo Bills

Likewise, you could also play the other side of the same low-scoring game. While the Bills offense has been bad, the defense has had to step up. Tre’Davious White caught an interception last week against the Bears, and the Jets have an implied points total under 22.

San Diego Chargers

I’ll admit I was wrong choosing the Seahawks last week. Melvin Gordon came back from his hamstring injury and lit up Seattle for 113 yards and a touchdown. But the Chargers defense held Russell Wilson to 17 points. The Bolts might not need Joey Bosa back to hold the possibly tanking Raiders below their Vegas implied total of 19.5 points.
