Justin Herrera uses the RotoViz tools to bring you the top plays and some under-the-radar options for the FanDuel main slate.
This weekly article is a deep dive into some guys with exploitable matchups, something to prove, or who are just great deals on FanDuel. The goal is always to help you win money on a week-to-week basis. Barring that, at least you can have some fun playing DFS, in which case this article can help you get started on the road to profitability. Each week I’ll use the RotoViz tools to suggest top plays and sleeper picks for each position on FanDuel.
MUST-HAVE: KIRK COUSINS – $7,800
Kirk Cousins and the Vikings are playing the Chargers on Sunday. This is going to be the “fantasy bonanza” matchup for Week 3. The Chargers have given up 666 passing yards this season and have a pressure rate of 13.5% (second lowest). You know this is a bad defense because they are top-five in blitz percentage (37.8%), but bottom-five in pressure rate. The Vikings are in the same ballpark on defense, so Justin Herbert is also a strong play this week. The difference here is that Cousins has thrown for almost 200 more yards and doubled Herbert’s touchdowns. He’s also $600 less than Herbert — a true value this week on FanDuel.
Top QB Scorers vs. LAC by Week, Last 5 Games
SLEEPER: RUSSELL WILSON – $7,400
Russell Wilson had a resurgence last week against the Washington Commanders, scoring 33 fantasy points. He’s produced QB1 numbers in four of the last six weeks. During that span, he’s averaged 24 fantasy points per game. The Dolphins’ defense has been particularly soft against the run and Sean Payton’s offense will take advantage of that to get the offense and Russ going in the play-action game. Outside of the Vikings-Chargers game, I think this could easily be one of the higher-scoring games of the week. That being said Russ is a $700 discount compared to Tua Tagovailoa. He’s a perfect fit for your FanDuel lineup in Week 3.
