Once again the main slate on DraftKings slate appears to have some firm value plays, especially at the running back position. We have our first spot start from a fun backup quarterback with Anthony Richardson all but certain to miss this game with a concussion. We are waiting on some injury news that we probably won’t get until late Saturday or early Sunday morning at wide receiver. D.K. Metcalf and DeAndre Hopkins both appear to be questionable. Travis Kelce ($7200) is off the injury report and the Kansas City offense is looking for their first offensive explosion of the year.
I’ll take a slate with a lot of value plays over one with very few. This adds multiple layers to the slate because it allows for multiple ways to build good teams. Not only do we have to sift through the value plays and decide which plays are the best, but that also requires us to sift through the best high-priced players and decide if we can fit more than one of them, or which of the most expensive plays are the highest priority.
I mainly enter into small field contests with less than 50 people, so the strategy in this article will mostly be centered around that. I will also offer some strategies for larger field tournaments as well. The most important part about DFS is entering a lineup that makes sense for the size/type of contest you are entering.
