Blair and I will be taking this Tuesday off from our normal waivers show on the RotoViz YouTube channel, but will be back next week with some new, exciting content as we head down the home stretch of the 2024 season and look forward to 2025.

To all of our subscribers and listeners, we are grateful for your feedback and support. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

What have you done for me lately?

– Janet Jackson

During a time of the year that is supposed to be all about gratitude, how quickly we can forget about the ones who helped us get to where we are. In this instance, we’re talking about Jordan Mason.

Filling in for Christian McCaffrey out of the gate, Mason was a revelation for fantasy owners fortunate enough to roster him. Sure, he did encounter his own injury woes, but he has had ample time to recover from them with McCaffrey leading the charge since his return in Week 10.

Double Achilles tendinitis is nothing to scoff at, and there is no certainty that the injury won’t rear its ugly head again for McCaffrey before the season is over. But fantasy managers are treating the situation as if they are playing Madden with injuries turned off, dropping Mason in over half of all leagues on ESPN and Yahoo.

There is no certainty that we will see Mason emerge again before the season is over, but if he does, he will be a locked-in RB1 for as long as he’s leading the 49ers backfield.

Even though there are no bye weeks in Week 13, any player who is on one of the six teams that has a Week 14 bye will be marked with an asterisk (*), so fantasy managers can act with some foresight when making their waiver claims this week.

Week 14 byes:

  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Denver Broncos
  • Houston Texans
  • Indianapolis Colts
  • New England Patriots
  • Washington Commanders

Before we dive into the players, just a few reminders about how the article is set up:

  • To be included as a potential add, a player must be rostered in 50% or less of ESPN or Yahoo leagues
  • FAAB recommendations will be given, but also serve as tiers for leagues without FAAB budgets. The rationale behind FAAB recommendations is: If I had $1,000 in FAAB, what is the absolute most I’d be willing to spend on this player?
