With Comps to Late Bloomers Like Davante Adams, Robert Woods, and Michael Crabtree, Can This WR Buck the Trend with a Year 2 Breakout?

Robert Woods was drafted at the beginning of the second round in 2013 by Buffalo, but had to wait six years before seeing his first breakout season. Following his first 200-point PPR season in 2018, he put up two more in consecutive seasons.

The 49ers selected Michael Crabtree with the 10th pick of the 2009 draft, but he did not break out until his fourth season. After being panned as a bust, Crabtree went on to be a consistent producer over the next six years.

The list does not end there, as even Davante Adams was considered a bust before he became the player we know him as today. After breaking out in his third year, Adams has been a mainstay at the top of fantasy football drafts for the past eight seasons.

For one highly drafted 2024 rookie wide receiver, his production in Year 1 did not live up to the expectations he entered the league with. Will fantasy managers have to wait to see him flourish, or is he set to become a huge value in 2025?
