Kevin Szafraniec breaks down the NFL’s best wide receiver performances of 2025 and compares them to the top seasons of the past seven years using the RotoViz Advanced Stats Explorer

Prior to the start of the 2024 NFL season, I did a deep dive into the WR data from the Advanced Stat Explorer to get a better feel for exactly what levels of production should be considered elite, average, or poor in each of the tool’s metrics. After adding 234 WR seasons from 2025 to the data set, our sample grew from 1,376 player seasons last winter to 1,610 now.

In Part 1 of our 2025 WR Advanced Stats Wrap-Up, we focused on routes and targets. This time around, we’ll be looking at air yards. For a quick reference on how to interpret the data in the tables below, the 75th percentile and above generally include the top 60 WR performances from a given season. The 90th percentile and above encompasses most of the top 24 performers.
