The RotoViz team recently gathered at HQ to partake in an FFPC-settings best ball draft. The draft order was as follows:

  1. Shawn Siegele
  2. Sam Wallace
  3. Jeff Matson
  4. Jack Miller
  5. Devin McIntyre
  6. Dave Caban
  7. Blair Andrews
  8. Stefan Lako
  9. Madison Parkhill
  10. Michael Dubner
  11. Mike Beers
  12. John Keenan

I normally don’t play on FFPC, so this was a fun experience for me to branch out and experience a new league format. As you might know, FFPC is tight end-premium, meaning TEs get 1.5 points per reception versus 1.0 for running backs and wide receivers. You’re required to start one quarterback, two RBs, two WRs, one TE, two flexes (RB/WR/TE), a defense, and a kicker. The drafts are 28 rounds.

Because they’re so long, we don’t have time to cover every individual pick (or even every round!), so we’ll just look at the selections that differed most from ADP. Today, we’ll focus on players who went well ahead of ADP. In another article, we’ll look at those who fell. And in yet another article, we’ll look at roster construction and use the Roster Construction Explorer tool to analyze why some RotoViz analysts built their team in the manner they did.
