Thankfully, victory on Sundays is not a requisite for fantasy success. Garbage-time statistics score the same for fantasy managers, as seemingly irrelevant plays in the grand scheme of the NFL determine fantasy matchups on a weekly basis. While drafting good players is essential to bringing home fantasy titles, rostering good players who can achieve bloated statistics on bad teams can be an edge for fantasy owners to exploit.
Coming off a forgettable first season with Brian Callahan as head coach, the Titans received the first overall pick in the 2025 draft. After suffering through some of the most inept quarterback play in the league, Tennessee prioritized the position by selecting Cam Ward to help resuscitate their pass game. Figuring out the most important position on the team is a step in the right direction, but there are still plenty of holes to fill on the Titans’ roster, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.
As Tennessee likely faces another season of being one of the worst teams in the NFL, we should be prepared to watch Ward attempt to carry the team with his arm as they try to stay competitive. While we are sure to experience plenty of lows, Ward has the confidence and arm talent to deliver his fair share of highs along the way. As Ward is presented with plenty of opportunities to sling the ball all over the field, which of his Titans teammates will join him as difference-makers from the late rounds of fantasy drafts?

New Leadership, Worse Results?
The Titans’ coaching change did not have the effect the front office was hoping for, as the team only won half the number of games they had in the year prior. Callahan was brought in to boost the offense, but there was little change in Tennessee’s scoring output, as the Titans finished 27th in the league. However, there was a big shift in the direction of the defense. Unfortunately, it was not in a positive direction, with the Titans finishing 30th in scoring defense after ranking 16th in 2023.
