Mike Washington Jr.’s Impressive Pro Day is Flying Way Too Far Under the Radar: Upon Further Review, No. 3

Kevin Szafraniec incorporates Mike Washington Jr.’s pro day testing into his combine numbers in an attempt to get a deeper understanding of his full athletic profile.

There is something to be said for quitting while you’re ahead. After excelling in his jumps and setting the track ablaze at the NFL Combine in February, Mike Washington Jr. decided to hang his cleats up for the day. Once the results were verified, Washington officially broke our Freak Score model. Blair Andrews added some context shortly after:

Mike Washington Jr. – 102

The RB Freak Score is supposed to be scaled from 0 to 100. Washington literally breaks the model. The previous top score in our database was held by Isaac Guerendo (99), who ran a 4.33 at 6 feet and 221 pounds. Washington is an inch taller and two pounds heavier, but was just as fast. His speed isn’t limited to the track either — he managed the fastest top speed among RBs at the Senior Bowl (21.02 MPH). As if that wasn’t enough, Washington also jumped 39 inches in the vertical leap and 128 inches in the broad jump — both above the 90th percentile. As a result, his athletic comps include several fantasy stars.

That said, it took five years for the two-time transfer to reach 1,000 rushing yards, and his career per-carry average is below 5.0 YPC. And for all of that speed, he forced only eight missed tackles in all of 2025 — just over 4% of his carries. No player with at least 1,000 yards had fewer forced missed tackles, and only one player with at least 1,000 rushing yards had a lower FMT%.

As Blair mentioned, Washington’s analytical profile is not without its holes, something we covered in even more depth in the 2026 RotoViz Rookie Draft Guide.

Another issue that arose was Washington’s lack of agility testing, which was further magnified by some downright atrocious forced-missed-tackle numbers in 2025. However, this deficiency was something that Washington set out to rectify at Arkansas’ pro day by participating in the shuttle and the three-cone drills.

So, how’d he do? Let’s jump into the numbers and find out!

The 2026 RotoViz Rookie Draft Guide is jam-packed with comprehensive player profiles, advanced stats, player comps, strategies, and rankings from the RotoViz staff, making it a must-have for every fantasy manager who wants to crush their best ball, dynasty, and redraft leagues in 2026!
